This garden was established in 1981 and is a fine and rare collection of tropical flora cultivated along purely organic lines and serves to be the setting for a two-room cabana and a single Garden Room that opens to the lobby and the beach. Help is needed to maintain the watering and repotting of the collection as well as general cleaning and upkeep, propagation, germination, etc. My name is Baron Swann and I have lived here in Hopins by the Sea for over 20 years. As a dedicated gardener I have created a unique garden that has become internationally renown. The accommodation that I may offer is a private room fully furnished with appointments for comfort and repose. It would be my pleasure to host a single male gardener who has carpentry skills and/or creative skills in pottery, for I make Pots and Jardineers for the collection and usually need assistance now that I have, by the Grace of God, become ageable and mellow and somewhat slow.

Cela is a 50 acre woodland holding with a year round unpolluted stream stiuated in hills about 5 miles from the SW coast. About half the land is old cork oak woodland with its associated eco-system intact and the rest is land which we are reclaiming from eucalyptus planting, mixed woodland and garden patches. Apart from the abundant wildlife, we have wild boars crossed with domestic pigs for our own use. We derive little income from the land, to which we loosely refer as a nature reserve, but we have a massive work load keeping tracks open and some control over what would otherwise become an inaccessible fire risk. We need help clearing & burning undergrowth, clearing tracks and cultivating gardens. Also more skilled help is needed with pruning cork trees and fencing. July - early Sept is very hot & dry with high fire risk so we don't encourage visitors at this time. As Cela is isolated we would, for social reasons, prefer couples. Belmont plantation is the sixteenth century 400 acre plantation. It is primarily an agro-eco-community tourism product. Grenada was hit by Ivan the hurricane on September 07, 2004 and the agricultural sector was devastated. Many farmers lost their homes, their crops and all their possessions. Belmont also houses the chocolate factory and has 100 acres of organically certi cocoa. Its primary crop was nutmeg. The land is divided into pastures where we graze our 7 horses, which we use for trekking throughout 500 acres of wild bush terrain; we also grow short crops and culinary herbs. Our home is based in the middle of friendship estate, which is an old coconut plantation, only a few minutes' walk to the Atlantic. As Tobago is a small island you can reach almost anywhere within a very short space of time with the use of public transport.
